amdocs invests in amobee

- Amdocs Ventures has made tqo minority investments in Israeli start-ups: Amobee Media Systems Ltd. and Trivnet Ltd. Amobee developers mobile advertising server solutions for telecommunications providers, and Trivnet provide mobile-based transaction management capabilities
- According to Globes Online, Motorola Israel has chosen not to re-open the bidding for its local iDEN subsidiary MIRS Communications, and will instead move forward with the three existing bidders; mobile operator Pelephone, telco 012 Smile.
- The Finance Ministry intends to block the sale of the Mirs mobile services provider to its competitor Pelephone and has asked the Communications Ministry to step in to halt the deal immediately.
- Powermat is one of the first commercially available wireless charging systems on the market. Universal wireless charging has been promised for years, but Powermat is the first to actually deliver on that promise.

Play deployes Mobixell’s advertising solution

- Polish mobile network operator, Play is to deploy a mobile advertising platform provided by Mobixell. Play and Mobixell have already trialled the new advertising service on Play’s WAP portal.
