Cellcom Israel previously selected RANalysis to optimize the service quality of its UMTS network. This expanded RANalysis deployment throughout Cellcom Israel’s complete UMTS radio network, means that RANalysis is now part of all the site deployments done by Cellcom Israel. Cellcom Israel’s expansion proves it satisfaction with RADCOM’s solution, which enabled Cellcom Israel to optimize its mobile data network.

In addition, it provides a solution to the challenges that operators face today with the advent of Smartphones that present a heavy load on network resources. It is a multi-user application that offers critical performance data for all of the cells simultaneously. Cellular operators use RANalysis to facilitate the daily task of tuning the Radio Access Network (RAN) to support subscribers’ changing needs. RADCOM’s solution has already helped Cellcom Israel save engineering resources due to the trouble-free maintenance it provides.
“We have been very pleased with the RADCOM solution, which is why we are expanding coverage to our whole UMTS RAN,” said Baruch Bar, Radio System Engineering Department Manager at Cellcom Israel. “RANalysis has simply streamlined the work of the radio group and removed many of the challenges of radio network monitoring. By allowing engineers to isolate problems and their sources efficiently, it has simplified our job of troubleshooting network faults, which means that our customers are getting better service.”
“Not only does the RADCOM solution provide monitoring of specific cells, it also identifies which of several common problems is adversely affecting service quality,” said Adar Eyal, RADCOM’s VP European Sales and Worldwide Strategic Alliances, “RANalysis is an extremely effective everyday tool that gives rapid return on investment due to its ability to quickly reflect subscriber experience.”
